![]() ![]() This one caught me out a bit because I was planning to use the workflow where we shoot in 4k but output HD, giving us the freedom to scale the image up to 100% without quality loss. I need to be able to do the same thing with the 9x16 aspect ratio.Īm I correct in assuming that if I set the timeline resolution to 1080x1920 I can't zoom in much at all without starting to loose image quality (the 2160 vertical pixels are being displayed in a timeline that has 1920 vertical pixels)? So in theory, to be able to have that extra room to scale up I would need to halve the resolution size to 540x960?įrom there what should my Image Scaling settings be? As far as I can figure out, Input Scaling set to Centre crop with no resizing gives me the full image to play with - so with zoom set to 0.45 I have the full image on screen and I should be able to zoom to roughly 1 without losing any image quality? As far as Output Scaling is concerned I currently have these set to Scale entire image to fit, but is this setting overridden by the Match timeline settings checkbox? Now if I was outputting 16x9 at 1920x1080 I could zoom in to the image 100% without any degradation in quality. My output needs to be 9x16 ratio (the project is a user guide for a medical product which will be accessed via a smartphone app). I'm getting very confused about what settings I should be using given the following workflow:
